Experience "Structure and Story" featuring works from six artists in residence at EFA.

EFA Studios is proud to present the work of the 2024 New Member cohort, selected by a distinguished panel of curators from a competitive open call. The panel included Dan Cameron, Kimberli Gant, Korurosh Mahboubian, Amanda Millet-Sorsa, and Carolina Wheat. We welcome six new artists to our community of 75 New York City-based artists. The group is connected through formal and conceptual threads including myth, craft, and creative responses to social and built contexts. Their work demonstrates a strong commitment to studio practice and well-developed aesthetic programs. Curated by Deric Carner and Alexandra Unthank.

Signature Theatre and Manhattan Theatre Club Present A World Premiere Co-Production Dominique Morisseau completes her Signature residency with this beautiful world premiere production about interrogating cultural identity and global impact. Simone, 1st generation Haitian American, and her cousin Gigi, Haitian born and raised, reunite to honor their grandmother’s dying wish for them to reconnect. Simone’s pilgrimage back to her ancestral homeland forces both cousins to confront their differing world views, the presence of NGOs in Haiti, and the plagued relationship between Haiti and the U.S.

From grunge to femme punk hits, Abby (Marisa Tomei) and Gus (Arliss Howard) have produced it all.  Their work marriage is legendary and Gus has the platinum records to prove it.  But when Katherine (Gracie McGraw), a fresh A&R hire, calls Abby out on the compromises she’s made in her work, Abby must face the music and fight to survive.

This limited Off-Broadway engagement performs at The Pershing Square Signature Center in the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature starting October 29.

Another Shot is a humorous and heartfelt ode to recovery, based loosely on the experiences of Chicago sports radio personality Harry Teinowitz, whose career and life were put in jeopardy following an arrest for DUI. Co-written by former ESPN personality and playwright Spike Manton, Another Shot tells the outrageous, hilarious story of an alcoholic on the edge of blowing up his life when he finally confronts how his behavior affects his family, life, and liver.
